Libby & Brennan's Wedding Day

What an AMAZING way to spend Friday, September 29th, 2023.

I got to witness Libby and Brennan’s true love for each other on their wedding day and it was my job to portray that and capture every special moment through my photography. Several times throughout the day I caught myself being lost in the moment with them and I had to quickly snap out of it and remember “I am here to take photos, not watch!” XD

I arrived at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church at noon, although their preparations began much sooner. First things first I started off getting some beautiful detail shots and the instant I saw the table cloth in the bride’s room, I knew that was going to make the perfect background for this amazing flat lay:

The trickiest parts however, proved to be hunting down the first nicely folded wedding program and

of course…Libby’s perfume bottle! That turned out to be a whole group effort! Thank you bridesmaids! Meanwhile, I happened to catch Libby’s mother getting her make-up done…I think she was hoping I wouldn’t notice! Nope! I see everything… XD

A little while later, after finally hunting down the St. Cecilia’s groundskeeper and getting him to move his lawnmower out of the scene, we were ready for the first look. Brennan waited anxiously for me to give him the queue to turn and lay eyes on his future wife for the first time that day. As expected, a big hug and a kiss was made, followed by an exchanging of vows.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful Catholic Mass which ended with Libby and Brennan consecrating themselves and their marriage to the blessed Virgin Mary.

After wrapping up family photos, a quick pit stop was needed to satisfy everyone’s good ole Wisconsin Culver’s custard craving. Refueled and rejuvenated, we headed the rest of the way to the Lake Windsor Country Club where we would be spending the rest of the evening. I managed to rush inside and get a few great shots of the venue and details before too many guests filled the space.

Before the grand entrance, some fun and loving wedding party and Bride & Groom photos were taken. The sun was setting just perfectly over the trees and to me, it portrayed the magic of the moment and represented the love Libby and Brennan have for each other.

The grand entrance ensued, a guest photo book was made, and dinner was served. Great speeches followed which brought tears and laughter to everyone present. The cake was cut using Brennan’s katana…that was a first.

All the guests stood by as Libby and Brennan made their first dance on the dance floor. Romantic and charismatic.

The bar opened, the lights went down, and the music turned up. The rest is memories as everyone danced the night away celebrating the bright future that Libby and Brennan will have with one another.
